Happy New Year!

It's 2007! Can you believe it? Our son will be two years old in just 6 weeks. That is hard to fathom and we will have kid"s" in less than 7 months. Ten years ago when I graduated from high school I could have never imagined how life would be at this time. I'm not sure if I even thought about it enough.

2006 was a great year. It seems like they keep getting better. Dylan turned 1, and he does all the fun things kids do in there second year of life. He's learning to put multiple words together. He mimics us more and more each day. We built and moved into a new home. We celebrated 7 years of marriage. Marriage has been a little more difficult since children became part of the picture but we continue to work at it and learn to love each other more every day. We saw 2 more nieces born healthy and happy. We went on vacation and Dylan had many firsts. Chris's brother returned home safe from a second tour in Iraq. We found out we were expecting our second child. We added a sunroom onto our new home. We hosted the Jaquess family Christmas in our home. Mom finally got to relax and just enjoy Christmas instead of worrying after getting home from work about cleaning house and cooking for so many. Everything was already done for her. And, best of all, we got to spend lots of time with friends and family.

Sit down and count your blessings for the last year. I bet they outweigh the bad. Start making goals for the new year. You can't accomplish anything unless you set out to do so. Most importantly, make God the focus in your home. We are excited about what 2007 will bring for our family. Happy New Year!
